Mechanics and Design:
The Griffin Armament Orion rings are rock solid rings machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum. These scope rings incorporate integral recoil lugs and true flush mounting rail grabbers. All hardware is 8-40 antivibration T15 screws made from aerospace alloy steel. The Orion rings also feature a fully radiused geometry, meaning you will find no edges on these rings, and fully chamfered edges on all scope mounting surfaces to prevent ring marks.

Packaging and Accessories:
The Griffin Orion rings come packaged in a clear plastic pouch with a T15 Torx Allen style wrench. Also the torque specifications are printed on the package label.

Pros:
Bridges the gap between standard hunting rings and heavy tactical mounts.

Cons:
Limited height options. Nothing tall enough for an AR or chassis system.

Conclusion:
The Griffin Armament Orion scope rings (video) are quality and great looks that will pair well with any hunting or precision rifle. These mate perfectly with any spec Picatinny or Weaver rail. My preference is paring with a Talley Picatinny rail for a lightweight, adjustable mounting solution.
