Do you want razor-sharp, high contrast images on your next adventure?
Check out the brand new Leica Geovid 8×42 HD-R 2700 Laser Rangefinder Binoculars featuring Linear Distance Determination of up to 2,750 yards for the first time ever!
Leica Geovid HD-R 2700 offers an amazing combination of ABC Ballistic, optical quality, and ergonomic design. Its ballistic measurement values are available in three output formats: holdover, click adjustment, and equivalent horizontal range (EHR).
The Leica 8×42 Geovid HD-R 2700 Rangefinder Binocular combines superior optical performance with a powerful 2700-yard laser rangefinder and ballistic computer into a highly portable and easy-to-use optic.
Optically, Leica Geovid utilizes Leica’s Perger-Porro prism optical design that yields the compact form factor of a roof prism with the rich depth of field and interference-free light path of a traditional Porro prism. To further improve image quality, is an internal baffle system to suppress stray light and the HDC fully multi-coated optical system that maximizes light transmission while improving color fidelity and contrast. These optical features, combined with a moderate magnification and larger objectives, produce an optic with a wide exit pupil and long eye relief that is comfortable and easy to use with an exceptionally wide field of view.
Leica Binoculars employs an open-bridge/dual-hinge design that makes the Geovid lighter and easier to handle without sacrificing strength or stability. Protecting the optics and electronics is a magnesium alloy chassis that is lightweight and durable. The body is wrapped in a protective rubber armor that provides a slip-resistant grip. To withstand the rigors of the trail, the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and submersible, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperatures and environmental conditions.
Easy, intuitive operation is guaranteed: equivalent horizontal range (EHR) output requires no pre-programming. In steep terrain, EHR gives you greater safety and flexibility. Leica’s own algorithm takes into account not only the linear distance and angle but also a realistic ballistic trajectory, making it much more accurate than the cosine function known as the Rifleman’s Rule. The result is a highly precise calculation of the EHR at a ballistic function range of 1,200 yds/1,100 m.
State-of-the-art fluoride lenses on the Leica Geovid HD-R 8×42 guarantee maximum color fidelity, contrast, and stray light suppression, offering a bright and crystal-clear and pin-sharp image – even under the most adverse light conditions.
