Kahles K318i 3.5-18×50 – SKMR3 LSW

Kahles has a reputation for producing high-quality ultra-short and long-range scopes. Kahles has entered the mid-range market with an Ultra-Short body that looks very similar to the S&B 3-20x, which is one of my all-time favourite scopes. The scope has a magnification of 3.5-1850 and a 34 mm tube, which is good for a mid-range scope. This is an FFP scope with two reticles: the standard MSR and the Kahles proprietary SKMR3, which is pronounced “skimmer 3” if you know what I mean.

The optical performance of the Kahles K318i Rifle Scopes is unrivalled by other scopes due to its ultrashort design. The visuals are sharp across the whole magnification range due to the very exceptional construction. To achieve this incredible feat, Kahles made a long-term commitment to cutting-edge technological research and development. Extensive research and development went into the sophisticated lens, system, one-of-a-kind glass, and new etching technique. With its wide field of view and high contrast images, the K318i redefines ultrashort riflescopes.

Kahles Rifle Scope lenses are entirely multi-coated throughout the optic. Patented lens coating improves light transmission by including several anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass contacts. While cycling through the magnification range, you will notice no vignetting or signs of blurred edges – simply clear, flat, brilliant images. Color retention and precision were very impressive in bright sunlight, and the multi-coated layers allowed for superb object contrast.
