Kahles K318i 3.5-18×50 – SKMR3 RSW

Kahles has traditionally produced excellent ultra-short and long-range scopes. Kahles now joins the mid-range market with an extremely nice looking Ultra-Short body, similar to the S&B 3-20x, which is one of my all-time favourite scopes. The scope is 3.5-18×50 with a 34 mm tube, which is excellent for a mid-range scope. This is an FFP scope with two reticles options: the conventional MSR and the Kahles proprietary SKMR3, which is pronounced “skimmer 3” if you’re in the know.

With its ultrashort construction, the Kahles K318i Rifle Scopes boast optical performance unrivalled by other scopes. Because of its genuinely superb craftsmanship, the images are crisp over the whole magnification spectrum. To accomplish this amazing achievement, Kahles made a long-term commitment to research and development of cutting-edge technology. The intricate lens, system, unique glass, and novel etching process are all the product of extensive research and development. The K318i sets new norms for ultrashort riflescopes with its broad field of vision and excellent contrast pictures.

The lenses on Kahles Rifle Scopes are completely multi-coated throughout the optic. With numerous anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass contact, patented lens coating enhances light transmission. You will find no vignetting or traces of blurred edges while cycling through the magnification range – just clean, flat, bright pictures. Color preservation and accuracy were particularly remarkable in broad sunshine, and the multi-coated layers allowed for good contrast between objects.
