When it comes to ranging large game at 1,000 yards and beyond, your laser rangefinder must have the power to travel the distance and the resilience to withstand the elements. The DiamondbackTM HD 2000 laser rangefinder from Vortex has a maximum range of 2,000 yards and an on-game range of 1,400 yards.

7x magnification on Vortex Diamondback allows you to see farther, and an HD optical system allows you to pick apart the environment while remaining focused on your goal. The red OLED display is visible in low light, and the DiamondbackTM HD 2000 features two target modes (Normal and Last), two range modes (HCD and LOS), and is tripod compatible.

The Vortex Diamondback HD 2000 has a stippled rubber coating for a firm grip. These Vortex rangefinders are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. On top of the device, there are simply two control buttons (menu and measurement), which are conveniently located at your fingers. The gadget is waterproof, safe to use in severe weather, and can withstand a hammering while traversing challenging terrain. This rangefinder weights 215.5 grammes (7.6 oz.) but is a very sturdy and well-made device.

The compact design reduces the overall area required to hold all of your hunting gear. When you’re on the run, there’s a handy clip and a wrist lanyard long enough to wear around your neck. These compact rangefinders also have a matching case that may be attached to a harness. There is an inbuilt tripod connector adjacent to the battery compartment if you wish to mount the Vortex Diamondback HD 2000 to a permanent platform.
